I just registered to take part in Extra Life to help raise money for the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. If you would like to donate click below to support a great cause. I am also adding an Extra Life donation link on to my twitch stream at twitch.tv/8_bit_ninja. Gaming for a cause FTW!
It has been awhile since my last update, but I am doing so with a video from Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn! Here's the link!
I managed to get access into the Destiny alpha test for the PS4 today. In the next few days I will be posting screenshots, videos, and perhaps a small first impressions article. Can't wait for the download to finish! It shouldn't take too long though, it weighs in at about 6.6 gigs.
I finally got around to throwing together the footage from some old warzones I did in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The resulting video has been uploaded to Youtube. Enjoy!
I have 4 keys for the Everquest Landmark closed beta to give away. All you have to do for a chance to win is like us on Facebook, then register for the forums, post your name from Facebook, and why you want to take part in the beta, and I will pick 4 people at random to issue the keys to. Spread the word so hopefully we can get more things to give away!

I have started a guild on The Rathe server of Everquest. The guild's name is Dorkness Rising. Soon we will being recruiting players into our ranks, and I will also be creating a section on this site dedicated to the guild. I will have more information posted as once it is available!
So the last week or two I've been playing the original Everquest again. I had gotten on of the free level 85 heroic characters during the promotion, but decided to start a fresh character instead. So many thing had changed that it almost felt entirely new game, which made me feel I needed the entire newbie experience. My time back has been great so far after getting passed the initial learning curve the game has. I am playing as a free player and haven't felt overly restricted or under powered that couldn't be overcome with a little thinking before engaging enemies. I'm sure that once I hit higher levels the appeal of becoming a gold player will increase. As for now I am enjoying my return to Norrath.
Tonight I am going to be starting a live stream of Everquest. I am going to be teaching my wife to play that has never played Everquest before. Should be fun to watch!
To the disappointment of many Borderlands fans such as myself, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford announced that Borderlands 3 is not being made yet.
Speaking with Polygon Randy Pitchford laid to rest the rumors and speculation that Gearbox may have been working on Borderlands 3 by saying: "We are not working on Borderlands 3. That is unqualified. We have more to do in the franchise, but no there isn't a Borderlands 3."
Randy Pitchford also gave his views on what Borderlands 3 should entail: "When you think of what Borderlands 3 should be, it should be massive, It should be bigger and better than Borderlands 3. It should carry forward the story. It's probably crazy multiplatform, depending on timing. It would have to be a next-gen game and a current-gen game, if it was coming at any time in the reasonably near future."
Pitchford also touched on the fact that they are currently working on two still unannouced new IPs, but didn't go into further details.
Two days ago my wife was nice enough to get me the Explorer pack for EverQuest Next Landmark granting access to the alpha test. With Smedly tossing the NDA out the window shortly after Landmark first entered alpha testing, I will be able to post screenshots, videos, gameplay streams, impressions, and getting started guides.
So far the few nights that I have played have been great. Even for being in alpha phase the game runs pretty well after some minor ini file tweaking. These tweaks I will go over in the future. The stylized artwork is beautiful to look at, and leads to some breath taking views once you reach the top of a mountain. Being able to dig anywhere you want (except in another players claim) gives a sense of endless exploration and discovery, even though the majority of things haven't been implemented yet. There are more things to go over but that will be saved for later after having more hands on time with Landmark.
I definitely recommend anyone who likes building games or EverQuest in general should keep an eye on this game. Until next time!
